QA Engineer (Trainee)

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases across functional,
• regression, integration, and end-to-end testing scenarios.
• Conduct API testing for REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs to validate functionality,
• reliability, and performance.
• Perform security and vulnerability testing to ensure data integrity and access control across systems.
• Use tools like Postman, cURL, Selenium, PyTest, RestAssured, and JMeter for test
• execution and automation.
• Participate in requirement analysis, prepare test plans, test scenarios, and maintain traceability.
• Log, track, and retest defects in collaboration with development teams using tools like Jira or open source tools.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests for continuous validation.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to identify quality
• gaps and enhance overall product reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test results, coverage reports,
• and improvement recommendations.

Qualification & Experience

• Excellent in both manual and automation testing across multiple domains (functional, regression, API, and security).
• Knowledgeable about API architecture, HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and data formats (JSON, XML).
• Proficient with testing tools such as Postman, cURL, Selenium, JMeter, and open-source automation frameworks.
• Familiar with test management and bug-tracking tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Skilled in API, performance, and security testing concepts.
• Strong in analytical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving.
• (Nice to have) Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins,
• GitLab CI).
• (Nice to have) Prior experience or internship in QA, development testing, or product
• validation environments.
