Engineering Manager

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of critical product and platform initiatives in an agile, cross-functional setup.

• Champion architectural and engineering best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Manage and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.

• Drive end-to-end planning, execution, and release cycles with clear visibility of scope and priorities.

• Collaborate across Product, QA, and UX to align technical execution with business goals.

• Introduce process improvements and automation to increase delivery velocity and code quality.

• Conduct technical reviews and provide mentorship on architecture, design, and coding standards.

Qualification & Experience

• Expertise and hands-on software development experience

• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, architectural principles and cloud-native practices

• Hands-on with Java Go, PHP, JavaScript (Node.js/React)

• Familiarity with MySQL, MongoDB, or other RDBMS/NoSQL systems

• Exposure to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/observability tools

• Experience working in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

• Proven leadership experience managing small to mid-sized Product Engineering teams

• Proven ability to deliver scalable backend systems or distributed applications
