Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Assist in validation and verification of embedded software components developed in C/C++.
- Support the creation, execution, and maintenance of test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
- Automate test cases using Python, Test Complete.
- Perform manual and automated testing for embedded systems and Windows tools, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Work closely with developers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
- Debug and analyze C/C++ code to support defect resolution and improve overall software reliability.
- Help identify, reproduce, document, and track defects using standard bug?tracking tools.
- Participate in reviewing requirements, design documents, and test outputs to ensure completeness and quality.
- Assist in test environment setup, including configuring hardware boards, sensors, and debugging tools.
- Contribute to simulation or Hardware?in?the?Loop (HIL)–based testing activities as needed.
- Support preparation and maintenance of technical documentation throughout the V&V lifecycle.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (pursuing or completed) in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming.
- Strong knowledge of Python programming for scripting and automation tasks.
- Understanding of embedded concepts such as microcontrollers, memory, interrupts, and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART).
- Familiarity with SDLC/V?model, and defect lifecycle.
- Exposure to debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or embedded debuggers (e.g., JTAG/SWD) is a plus.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
