Junior IT Admin

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• IT Infrastructure Support: Assist in maintaining servers, networks, desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT hardware.
• System Administration: Perform routine system maintenance, updates, patch management, and backups.
• User Support & Troubleshooting: Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, email, and network-related issues.
• Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance and escalate issues when required.
• Security Compliance: Support implementation of basic security measures such as antivirus management, access control, and data protection practices.
• Asset Management: Maintain IT asset inventory and track hardware/software allocations.
• Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors for procurement, repairs, and maintenance support.
• Documentation: Maintain proper documentation of IT processes, incidents, and configurations.
• User Assistance & Training: Guide employees on basic IT usage and best practices.

Qualification & Experience  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in IT administration or technical support.
• Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, email systems, and endpoint security tools.
• Understanding of backup procedures and basic cybersecurity practices.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to escalate issues appropriately and coordinate with senior IT members.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
