Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design processes/automation based on their requirements
- Debug and maintain and build monitoring automation for Engineering Infrastructure and Engineering Resources to enable Development activities
- Organize/manage projects with guidance from Senior engineers and drive them to completion
- Explore newer technologies and develop proof of concepts to validate and demonstrate potential solutions
- Develop automation to reduce/remove manual operations (Python, Java, bash, ssh, Linux, git)
- Improve robustness by adding metrics, monitoring, and automatic recovery (Icinga, DataDog, PagerDuty, CloudTrail)
- Rotate with other team members as first point-of-contact for helping other groups with tools and services (Jira, Confluence)
- Add functionality to CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, Jenkins, Bitbucket)
- Work with the team using agile development processes (Scrum, Kanban)
- Maintain/update deployments in cloud environments (Ansible, AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Kubernetes, Terraform)
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Engineering infrastructure and tools (OnPrem and Cloud) or DevOps experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems and computer networking
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
- Experience writing code in an Object-Oriented programming paradigm
- You are a good programmer that writes readable, testable, and maintainable code
- Strong Linux skills and have hands on experience to troubleshoot issues
- Strong and clear communicator that can concisely explain complex software design considerations
- Basic system administration and networking skills
- Team player with a good sense of humor
- Willing to learn new technologies and skills as necessary
