Senior OutSystems Developer

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver robust applications primarily using the OutSystems platform.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical solution designs that account for client constraints, budgets, deadlines, and system integrations.
• Develop and maintain integrations using Web APIs and external services.
• Work with C#, the .NET Framework, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to extend and enhance OutSystems solutions where required.
• Design and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, including writing and tuning SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Implement secure software development practices across all stages of the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Develop accurate and competitive client quotes, including technical analysis, solution estimations, workshops, and presentations.
• Identify and communicate risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints to maximize successful delivery outcomes.
• Establish, maintain, and promote development standards and best practices within the team.
• Review team members’ work, provide constructive feedback, and support knowledge sharing and mentoring.
• Maintain high-quality technical documentation and project artefacts.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing exemplary service and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Actively contribute to internal programs, process improvements, and organizational objectives (OKRs).
• Demonstrate fluency in AI tools that improve efficiency and productivity in software development, ensuring responsible and ethical usage.

Qualifications & Experience  

• Mandatory OutSystems certifications (e.g., Associate Developer, Professional Developer, or equivalent).
• Agentic AI and Agent Workbench
• Extensive experience developing enterprise applications using the OutSystems platform.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET Framework.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web development principles.
• Proven experience in Web API development and system integrations.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, performance tuning, and advanced SQL query writing.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of core programming and object-oriented principles such as encapsulation, polymorphism, and composition.
• Ability to decompose complex systems into modular, maintainable components that other developers can easily understand.
• Experience delivering projects independently or leading other developers.
• Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and systematic approaches to issue resolution.
• Appreciation of broader business context and the ability to align technical solutions to client objectives.
