About Vishwa Konkani Student Scholarship Fund (VKSSF)
Vishwa Konkani Student Scholarship Fund' envisages grant of Merit-cum-Means Scholarships to students having Konkani language as their mother tongue. Instituted in the year 2010 as envisioned by the eminent thinker and corporate leader T.V. Mohandas Pai, the World Konkani Centre has successfully raised and awarded scholarships to the tune of over Rs. 30.00 crores since 2010.
As the Fund is functioning based on the 'Stream' concept, the entire amount generated every year will be distributed to the beneficiaries and no separate corpus will be maintained. Contributions to the Fund will be eligible for Tax Exemption under section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act.
'Vishwa Konkani Student Scholarship Fund' is administered by a Governing Council headed by Pradeep G. Pai as secretary and comprising eminent personalities. Eminent Konkani Philanthropists like Shri T.V.Mohandas Pai, Dr. Ranjan Pai, Dr. P. Dayanand Pai, Ramadas Kamath U., K. V. Kamath, G. Nandagopal Shenoy, M. Jagannath Shenoi, Madam Grace Pinto, Ullas Kamath, Gokulnath Prabhu, Sandeep Shenoy, Pradeep G. Pai, B. R. Bhat, Jagadish Kini, and many more have been supporting this fund every year.

- World Konkani Centre, Mangaluru, Invites applications for Merit-Cum-Means Scholarships-2022 from Konkani Speaking students belonging to any caste and religion, seeking professional education in the stream of Engineering.
Eligiblity

Only candidates with Konkani as their mother tongue can apply for this scholarship regardless of caste and religion. A Mother tongue certificate needs to be provided while applying.

Only Candidates who are seeking admission to the First Year of the Engineering course in 2022 can apply.

Only Candidates who scored above 80% in the core subjects in PUC and also secured a Ranking of 20,000 or below in the Common Entrance Test (CET). OR Candidates who have secured a meritorious rank in any other entrance exam.

Only Candidates whose total Family Income is less than Rs. 5.00 Lakhs per annum can apply. The references from Family Doctor and a Chartered Accountant should be provided in this regard while applying.

The Vishwa Konkani Student Scholarship Programme is a handholding programme with Scholarships along with a skill development and mentoring programme. Students should be willing to be part of this highly beneficial development programme.

The student should be willing to sponsor 2 students after completion of studies and after securing employment.
