Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has been established by Govt. of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998. The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), India under Section 2 (f) and 12 (b) of the UGC Act. The University was graded as "A" by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore for the period 2013 to 2018.
It is an affiliating and teaching University which aims at facilitating and promoting studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on professional education, for example engineering, technology, management studies, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, law, etc., and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields and other matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

About IPU CET
Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) is a university level entrance exam conducted by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The exam is conducted for candidates seeking admission to various courses of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
Eligiblity criteria
BCA
- Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* with pass in English (core or elective or functional). Mathematics or (Computer Science / Informatics Practice / Computer Applications / Multimedia & Web Technology / Data Management Application / Web Application as compulsory subject of non-vocational stream with 50 theory and 50 practical ratio). OR Three year Diploma in a branch of Engineering from a polytechnic duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education andaffiliated to a recognized examining body with a minimum of 50%marks in aggregate.
MCA
- Passed BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or
- equivalent Degree. OR Passed three years (03) Bachelor Degree with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation level “(these applicants, if admitted, shall have to study additional bridge courses as per the norms of the University)”. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examinations.

- Admission shall be on the basis of the merit of the written test /CET
MCA
- All admissions shall be on the basis of Merit of NIMCET 2025. If Seats remain vacant after counselling on the basis of merit ofNIMCET 2025, the University will consider admission in MCA/ MCA(SE) programmes by conducting Common Entrance Test to be conducted by GGSIP University
